Nobody blends violence, slow motion and music better than @toyodatoshiaki.
A golden period of filmmaking, from Pornostar, Blue Spring and here in 9 Souls.

It’s been great to really dig into Japanese directors from the ‘70s-‘90s, a period I wasn’t very familiar with - Shinji Somai, Takashi Ishii, Toshio Matsumoto, Toru Murakawa, Eiichi Kudo, Banmei Takahashi - due to amazing work by indie media labels like Radiance and Third Window
Best film I saw this year, hands down. Nothing came close. When this gets a physical release I highly recommend people to avoid trailers, synopsis and all that stuff. Just buy it, press play and enjoy the ride. Because this film is like being on acid listening to Pink Floyd.
Director @toyodatoshiaki just picked up his award from the 58th @sitgesfestival where he won the BEST DIRECTOR award for his latest film TRANSCENDING DIMENSIONS #次元を越える
