OH Young-dahl (played by JUNG Jin-young)

He is a member of Homicide Team 3 and during his 10-year career he has been responsible for homicide cases. He is famous for his investigation style, which is to ignore trivial cases. Once he takes a case, he works to solve it by drawing upon his extensive experience, keen judgment and 10 years worth of contacts with nationwide tipsters. He is humane and believes that the criminals are also humane and that they are victims. He is a top-notch detective and feels sorry that he rarely sees his family. To maintain his top rating, he uses aggressive tactics and is always being investigated for alleged misdeeds. Despite of his hard work and sacrifice, he finds it difficult to face the victims·¦ families. Because he knows the hardships of being a detective, he is devoted to his partner Jay-soo and his other colleagues.

Because of his extensive theatrical experience, he was picked up in 1998 by director KIM Yoo-jin for the film A Promise, in which he played a right hand man who protects his boss at risk to his own life. The role made a strong impression on audiences and he was set to become the best actor of his generation. He won the Best Supporting Actor award for the role at both the Dae Jong Awards and the Blue Dragon Awards. He has become one of most sought after actors in Korea and played the leading parts in The Ring Virus and Bichunmoo. He then became a box-office star after achieving comedic success playing characters in Guns and Talk and Hi! Dharma. He currently appears on a TV program as a thoughtful commentator on current events. Now he shows his charismatic acting with director KIM Yoo-jin in WILD CARD.

BANG Jay-soo (played by YANG Dong-geun)

He is not a veteran but, he is a promising detective of Homicide Team 3 with his guts and quickness. He chose to be a detective because it was his calling and takes pride in it. With an almost obsessive desire to win, he sometimes strikes before he speaks. Like all other detectives, his dilemma is whether to ·catch first or catch according to the law.·¨ He respects his partner, detective Young-dahl and follows him like a brother. He is an ordinary young man who is fond of KANG Nana of the Identification Team, who is very cold towards him.

He started his acting career in 1987 at age 9 in the TV drama Topree and has continued acting for the past 15 years. The recent TV drama Nemeotdaero Haera, in which he played a pickpocket who is to die, earned him much fame. He is a unique actor with potential greatness beyond his peers. WILD CARD is his first leading role in film. He is active not only as an actor but also as a hip-hop rapper. He is very unique and is very famous among young people. He is determined to create a unique detective character in this film.

KANG Nana (played by HAN Chae-young)

She is a sergeant with the Seoul City Science Investigation Department. She is a graduate of the Police Academy and is an able woman who can finish the job even in the cruelest of situations. She is in charge of autopsies. She appears cold because of her perfectionism but she has warm feelings for the victims and that is why she is deeply devoted to her work. She has resisted Jay-soo·¦s love advances because she is inclined to focus on work. But as she understands Jay-soo·¦s true feelings, she shows the passion that is hidden inside of her.

HAN Chae-young plays KANG Nana, the only heroine in WILD CARD. She gained attention for her role in the TV Drama Gaeul Donghwa, and in 2002 she played an innocent but strong-willed high school girl in Haejeock, Discowongdweda, her debut film. She graduated high school in the United States and is now attending Dongguk University in the faculty of drama. She is currently active working in films and TV and she has become a rising star in the Korean film industry. WILD CARD will cement her status as a star.
